Information
Rules may change. Check back often.
- Beginner - Intermediate RPG. The word limit is 150 words. There is no rush to get a post done. If you need more time to reach the requirements, then wait. Nobody is going to mind that much. The limit does not apply to posts out of character.
- Proper spelling and grammar is a must. Chat speak is not allowed anywhere on the forum. We ask that you write in complete sentences. A spell check is available.
- Power playing is in no way acceptable. It is not fair and violators will be punished accordingly.
- Arguments and fighting will not be tolerated. Many a good forum has fallen apart because of fights between its members. If you must argue, take it to PM.
- Cursing is allowed in moderation. This may be changed if it becomes a problem.
- Let someone know if you are going to be absent for more than 4 days.
- Seasons are posted as a guideline. It does not have to be followed strictly but certain things will be affected by it.
Images
- Images of celebrities are allowed to be used.
- If you choose to not use a picture of a celebrity, it would be preferred if you used a personal picture or a picture off of DeviantArt.com or Flickr.com. Not required but much preferred.
- Be sure to credit your images if taken from Deviantart or Flickr.
- Avatars and the like do not have the same restrictions.
- You can request to have a graphic made in the Graphics board.
Characters
- Make sure you read all of the rules and information before creating your character.
- The form is provided after clicking the "new thread" button. Be sure to fill out everything in the form. It will be checked.
- Characters must be checked and accepted before they can be roleplayed.
- No character limits. However, make sure you keep them active.
- Character forms will be locked after being accepted so no changes can be made to them.
- Vampires and hybrids appear mainly human. No horns or wings or such. Skin color, eye color, and features like that will be different on vampires and hybrids.
Groups
- Vampires and hybrids are allowed to create groups.
- The groups may fight one another for power over an area. The four areas are territories and are listed under "Places to Go". The Nocturnal Gardens are the only place that vampires and hybrids cannot go because something about it repels them.
- Groups have one or two leaders who hold power over the others.
- The leaders can be challenged for their positions and can step down or fight.
- The children of the leaders are considered heirs so they have first right to position if the leader is removed. In turn, they can be challenged for the position.
- You cannot control more than one group.
- The current territories are the Cemetery, Blood Reign, and Cirque du Grotesque. More can be added on request and custom ideas for territories can be sent to the admin for approval.
Other
- In the event of a fight between characters, guidelines will be set and the fight will be judged by staff. A winner will be determined by post quality and how well the guidelines were followed.
- If a vampire or hybrid from one group wins control of another group, he also gains control of the members of that group. The members are not required to stay, but they may if they wish.
- Characters can enslave other characters. Any species can enslave another.
- Vampires and hybrids cannot kill a human without the players consent.
- Children are created by staff. The stats of the two parents must be posted and the resulting child will be posted by staff for the parents.
- More houses will be listed as they fill up.
- Give a detailed description of your house, not just a line or two.
Information
- Hybrids are the product of humanXvampire or hybridXhybrid. A hybridXhuman cross will produce a weaker hybrid that is more tolerant of sunlight and human food whereas a hybridXvampire cross will do the opposite. Stronger hybrid, less tolerant of human food and sunlight.
- Hybrids are not as affected by sunlight but it can still make them sick.
- Vampires are intolerant of sunlight and will experience instant death upon contact.
- Hybrids can eat human food as well as feed on blood whereas vampires will become ill if they ingest human food.
- Garlic, crosses, wooden stakes and the like have no effect on vampires or hybrids.
- Vampires and hybrids can live solitary in houses or apartments if they choose.
- A vampireXvampire will produce a vampire child. It will grow from a baby to the apparent age of the average of it's parent's ages.
- Vampires are immortal, hybrids are half mortal (Have very long lifespans), and humans are mortal.
